this is not a retrial

First fact of the day: apparently, for the sake of the jury and due process the event we're attending is not to be referred to as a retrial. Things do seem oddly familiar though. Are you sure we haven't been here before? Is this a groundhog i see before me? OUT, OUT, DAMNED RODENT! (capitalised ranting seems justified as I'm typing this for the 2nd time, having lost it all a moment ago). For anyone with an inquiring mind, an interest in rodents, or just too much time on their hands, check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog. For those of you with jobs to do, that's one at the top of the page.
We have time to google groundhogs because the thing formerly known as a retrial hasn't started yet. The judge isn't a morning person apparently, especially not Monday mornings. Actually, I've just been told that he's hard at work with someone else's trial and expecting to entertain us towards the end of the morning. So, probably we should get over there and see what's happening in case there's a need to write anything relevant later on. Failing that, expect more ramblings with rodents. TTFN
